Early Life and Career
Carl Lawson is a 28-year-old edge defender for the New York Jets. Hailing from Alpharetta, Georgia, Lawson played college football at Auburn University, where he was a standout defensive end.
Lawson entered the NFL in 2017 as a fourth-round draft pick by the Cincinnati Bengals. He quickly established himself as a force on the defensive line, recording 20 sacks in his first three seasons.
Success with the Jets
Lawson joined the Jets in 2021 and has continued to excel. In the team's Week 5 victory over the Miami Dolphins, he recorded eight tackles, a strip sack, and seven quarterback hits.
