Users advised to restart in safe mode to fix the issue
An update to a product from infosec vendor CrowdStrike is bricking computers running Windows. The update is causing computers to crash and display the blue screen of death.
CrowdStrike has released a couple of fixes for the issue. Users are advised to restart their computers in safe mode to fix the issue.
To restart in safe mode, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the CrowdStrike directory, usually found in C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike.
- Delete the CrowdStrike.sys file.
- Restart your computer.
